Theme: Working Together to Prevent Suicide: Research, Policy and Practice.
ESSSB is the leading European conference on suicide and suicidal behaviour, attracting delegates from across the globe (usually circa 350 delegates). Its particular strength is that it successfully combines rigorous science with excellent policy and practice.
The Symposium is held bi-annually under the auspices of the International Association for Suicide Prevention. The conference, which is not-for-profit, is to be hosted jointly by the Universities of Stirling and Edinburgh in partnership with Scotland's Suicide Information, Research and Evidence Network (SIREN) and supported by the Scottish Government.
